Born on 26.05.1956, to parents Sri Mandali Venkata Krishna Rao, and Smt. Prabhavathi Devi, the young Prasad was groomed under the strict watch and careful tutelage of his father whose public activities and contacts with various sections of people have left him with little time for family life. Emulating his father, Mandali Buddha Prasad had evinced great interest in the subjects of social work, literature and culture, right from the beginning.
Many scholars and important persons from different walks of life called on Sri Mandali Venkata Krishna Rao, and seeing them all in flesh and blood in his formative years had left an indelible impression on Buddha Prasad.
