వైభవంగా జరిగిన సిలికానాంధ్ర సాంస్కృతికోత్సవం
వైభవంగా జరిగిన సిలికానాంధ్ర సాంస్కృతికోత్సవం
సిలికానాంధ్ర పదకొండో ఆంధ్ర సాంస్కృతికోత్సవం కాలిఫోర్నియాలోని క్యూపర్టినోలో శనివారం రాత్రి (భారత కాలమాన ప్రకారం ఆదివారం ఉదయం) అత్యమ్యంత వైభవంగా జరిగింది. సిలికాన్‌వేలీ లోని వివ్ధ ప్రాంతాల నుండి రెండు వేలకు మందికి పైగా తెలుగువారు హాజరై పది గంటల పాటు 350 మంది బాల, యువ, మహిళా కళాకారులు ప్రదర్శించిన సంగీత, నృత్య, నాటక, జానపదా ప్రదర్శనలు ప్రేక్షకులను సాంస్కృతిక విందునందించాయి. ప్రాంతీయ బేధాలు మరచి వందలాది మంది మహిళలు ప్రదర్శించిన ఎల్లమ్మ నృత్యం, బతుకమ్మ క్యూపర్టినో నగరాన్ని ఉర్రూతలూగించాయి. రాష్ట్ర సమాచార సాంకేతిక పరిజ్ఞాన శాఖ మంత్రి పొన్నాల లక్ష్మయ్య ముఖ్య అతిధిగా పాల్గొని సిలికానాంధ్ర ప్రపంచంలో అరుదైన సమ్ష్త అనిప్రశంసించారు. భాషా సాహిత్య సంస్కృతులను పరిరక్ష్మిచేందుకు అహర్నిశ పాటుపడుతున్న సిలికానాంధ్ర దేశ విదేశాల్లోని తెలుగువారికి ఆదర్శమని అన్నారు. ' దేశభాషలందు తెలుగు లెస్స ' అన్న మాట ఎంత ప్రధానమైనదో తెలుగు సమ్ష్థ లన్నిటిలో సిలికానాంధ్ర మిన్న అని పొన్నాల చెపారు. మాజీ మంత్రి మండలి బుద్ధ ప్రసాద్ గారు ప్రసంగిస్తూ సిలికానాంధ్రకు సంస్కృతి పరిరక్షణకు సంబంధించి గొప్ప ఆలోచనలున్నాయని వాటిని నిజం చేసే శక్తిగల సాంస్కృతిక సైనికుల్లాంటి కార్యకర్తలున్నారని అయితే ఆర్ధికంగా తగిన సహకారం అందించాలని అన్నరు. ప్రముఖ వైణికుడు వీణ శ్రీనివాస్ నిర్వహణలో సాగిన కర్ణాటక, హిందుస్తానీ, పాశ్చ్యాత్య సంగీత సంగమం, అనూష కూచిభోత్ల నృత్య కల్పనలో సాగిన స్వర గంగాఝరి, మైం మధు చే మౌన తరంగం, స్నేహ వేదుల ఆధ్వర్యంలో జరిగిన జానపద నృత్యాలు, శిరిని సూరపనేని నృత్య రూపకల్పనలో సాగిన ఆంధ్ర కళా విలాసం, పద్మిని సరిపల్లె, రత్నమాల వంక సారధ్యంలో పాటలపల్లకి, విజయసారధి మాడభూషి నేతృత్వంలో ప్రదర్శించిన రాణా ప్రతాప్ నాటకం తదితర ప్రదఋసనలు ఎంతగానో ఆకట్టుకున్నాయి. తెలుగు విశ్వవిద్యాలయం పూర్వ అద్యక్షులు అచార్య అనుమండ్ల భూమయ్య జ్వలిత కౌసల్య పద్య కావ్యం నాలుగో ముద్రణను ప్రవాసాంధ్రుడు డా. లక్కిరెడ్డి హన్మిరెడ్డి ఆవిష్కరించారు. తెలుగు విశ్వవిద్యాలయ అధ్యాపకుడు డా. చెన్నయ్య గారి వ్యాఖ్యానం కార్య్క్రమానికి నిండుదనం సంతరించింది.

శ్రీకాకుళంలో ఆంధ్ర మహావిష్ణు దేవాలయం ప్రాంగణంలో కృష్ణ దేవరాయలు
అది, 2008లో కృష్ణా జిల్లా శ్రీకాకుళంలో ఆంధ్ర మహావిష్ణు దేవాలయం ప్రాంగణంలో కృష్ణ దేవరాయలు ఆముక్తమాల్యద కావ్యానికి శ్రీకారం చుట్టిన మంటపాన్ని పునర్నిర్మింపచేసి, అందులో కృష్ణ దేవరాయలు కావ్యరచన చేస్తున్న భంగిమలో నిలువెత్తు విగ్రహాన్ని ప్రతిష్ఠింపచేస్తున్న సందర్భం. రాష్ట్రం అంతా బుద్ధప్రసాద్‌ కు రెండవ విడత మంత్రివర్గ విస్తరణలో తప్పకుండా అవకాశం వస్తుందనీ ఆయనకు విద్యా, సాంస్కృతిక శాఖలు అప్పగిస్తారని ఎదురు చూస్తున్న సమయం అది. సరిగ్గా సభలు ప్రారంభమయ్యే సమయానికి కృష్ణా జిల్లాకు ముఖ్యమంత్రి అధికార పర్యటనకు వచ్చారు .పదవులు ఆశిస్తున్న జిల్లా రాజకీయ శక్తులన్నీ ముఖ్యమంత్రి చుట్టూ కేంద్రీకరించి ఉన్నాయి. బుద్ధప్రసాద్‌ మాత్రం సభల ఏర్పాటు మీద మాత్రమే మనసు లగ్నం చేశారు ముఖ్యమంత్రి కలవటానికి వెళ్ళనే లేదు. అదీ ఆయన నిబద్ధత...!
శ్రీకాకుళం సభలు : రెండవ తెలుగు భాషోద్యమం : మండలి బుద్ధప్రసాద్‌ నేతృత్వంలో తెలుగువారి తొలి రాజధాని కృష్ణా జిల్లా శ్రీకాకుళంలో 2002 నవంబర్‌ 1, 2 తేదీలలో జరిగిన తెలుగు భాషోద్యమ సమాలోచన శిబిరం తెలుగు భాషోద్యమానికి నాందీ పలికింది. అమ్మ భాష పట్ల మమతానురాగాల్ని పెంపొందించటం ప్రధాన కార్యక్రమంగా ప్రజల గుండె తలుపులు తట్టి భాషా చైతన్యాన్ని కలిగించే అనేక కార్యక్రమాలు ఆనాటినుంచీ తెలుగు నేలమీద ముమ్మరంగా జరిగాయి. ఇదే సభలో తెలుగు భాషోద్యమ సమాఖ్య శ్రీకారం చుట్టుకుంది. బుద్ధప్రసాద్‌ నాయకత్వంలో డా. సామల రమేష్‌బాబు, సి.ధర్మారావు ఇంకా ఎందరో బాషోద్యమానికి నడుం బిగించారు. గిడుగువారు నడిపిన వ్యావహారిక భాషోద్యమానికి కొనసాగింపుగా దీనిని రెండవ తెలుగు భాషోద్యమం అన్నారు.
జీవో నం.86 సాధన : తెలుగువాడిగా పుట్టి, తెలుగునేల మీద తెలుగు అక్షరంముక్క నేర్చుకోకుండా పోస్ట్‌ గ్రాడ్యుయేషన్‌ కూడా పూర్తిచేసుకునే దురదృష్టకర అవకాశం ఈ దేశంలో ఒక్క మన రాష్ట్రంలోనే ఉంది. ఈ తెలుగు రాష్ట్రంలో తెలుగు చదవకుండా వుంటేనే ప్రభుత్వ గుర్తింపు ఉంటుందనే పరిస్థితి నడుస్తోంది. ఈ విషయాన్ని అసెంబ్లీలో ప్రస్తావించి ప్రభుత్వ దృష్టికి తీసుకొచ్చారు బుద్ధప్రసాద్‌. దానిపైన విస్తృత పోరాటమే ఆయన చేయాల్సి వచ్చింది. తెలుగు భాషోద్యమం, తెలుగు భాషోద్యమ సమాఖ్య, తెలుగు భాషాభిమానులు ఆయనకు అండగా నిలబడ్డారు. దాని ఫలితంగానే జీవో నం.86 ను ఆనాటి ప్రభుత్వం విడుదల చేసింది. అక్షరాభ్యాసం నుంచి 10వ తరగతి వరకూ తెలుగు తప్పనిసరిగా బోధనాంశంగా ఉండాలనేది ఈ 86వ జీవో సారాంశం. త్రిభాషా సూత్రానికి అనుగుణంగా తెలుగును తప్పనిసరి చేస్తున్న జీవో. భాషోద్యమ పరంగా ఇది బుద్ధప్రసాద్‌ అధిగమించిన ఒక మైలురాయి. హైదరాబాద్‌లో తెలుగుతల్లి విగ్రహం మీద తెలుగుతల్లి అని తెలుగులో రాయకపోవటం, సెక్రెటేరియట్‌లో రాష్ట్ర సచివాలయం అని తెలుగు అక్షరాల్లో ఎక్కడా లేకపోవడం, ఏ ఊళ్ళోనూ ఏ దుకాణం మీదా ఒక్క తెలుగు బోర్జు కనిపించకపోవడం ఇలా తెలుగు అనేది ఒక పనికిరాని అంశంగా మారిపోతోందని ఆయన ఆవేదన చెంది చేసిన ఆందోళన ఫలితంగా సచివాలయంలో ఇప్పుడు ఎక్కడ చూసినా తెలుగు అక్షరాలు కనిపిస్తున్నాయి. తెలుగు తల్లి అని మనం ఇప్పుడు తెలుగులో చదవవచ్చు.
తెలుగు భాషా సంస్కృతుల పరిరక్షణ,
ఇప్పుడు నడుస్తున్న తెలుగు భాషోద్యమానికి కర్త, కర్మ, క్రియ ఆయనే! ప్రజల గుండె తలుపులు తట్టి వారిలో తెలుగు భాష పట్ల గౌరవాన్ని, తెలుగు సంస్కృతి పట్ల అభిమానాన్ని ప్రేరేపిస్తూ, భాషా జాతీయులుగా తెలుగు వారి చరిత్రని వెలుగులోకి తేవటం ఆయన ఏర్పరచుకొన్న పెద్ద ప్రణాళిక. ఆయన అడుగులో అడుగువేస్తూ ఆయన్ని వెన్నంటి ఎందరో ప్రముఖులైన సాహితీవేత్తలు, భాషావేత్తలూ, చరిత్రవేత్తలు నడుస్తున్నారు. మరెందరో భాషాభిమానులు వీర సైనికులై కవాతు చేస్తున్నారు. ప్రణాళికాబద్ధమైన బుద్ధప్రసాద్‌ కృషి ఫలితంగా, ఇంటి భాషగా, బడి భాషగా, ఏలుబడి భాషగా తెలుగు అమలు గురించి ఆయన నేతృత్వంలో జరుగుతున్న పోరాటాలకు ఇప్పుడు విశేఓష స్పందన వస్తోంది. 2002 నుంచి ఇదే అంశంపైన దృష్టి కేంద్రీకరించి సాగిస్తూ వస్తున్న అనేక కార్యక్రమాలకు ఫలాలు అందటం అప్పుడే ప్రారంభమయ్యాయి. ప్రజలు తెలుగులో మాట్లాడటం ఒక గౌరవనీయమైన అంశంగా భావించుకోవటం ఎల్లెడలా కనిపిస్తోంది. ఇది ఆహ్వానించదగిన చక్కని పరిణామం.
స్వాతంత్య్రోద్యమం తర్వాత పుట్టినవారే ఎక్కువగా ఉన్న ఈనాటి సమాజంలో ఆనాటి ఉద్యమ స్ఫూర్తి ఎలా ఉంటుందో బుద్ధప్రసాద్‌ నాయకత్వాన తెలుగు భాషోద్యమంలో పనిచేస్తున్న వారికి చక్కగా అనుభవంలోకి వస్తోంది. గాంధీ సిద్ధాంతాలను, ఆయన నాయకత్వ విధానాన్ని, ఆయన కార్యచరణను పుణికి పుచ్చుకొని తెలుగు భాషోద్యమాన్ని ఆయన నడుపుతున్నారు. వ్యక్తిగతమైన ప్రచారాలకు ప్రయోజనాలకు ప్రభావాలకూ తావివ్వని రీతిలో ఆయన ఈ ఉద్యమాన్ని నడుపుతున్న తీరు సన్నిహితంగా వ్యవహరించేవారికి సైతం విస్మయం గొలుపుతుంది. ఒక చిన్న సంఘటనని అప్రస్తుతమైనా ఇక్కడ ప్రస్తావించక తప్పదు

ANDHRA PRABHA NEWSతెలుగు భాషా సంస్కృతుల పరిరక్షణ, పురావైభవాన్ని చాటడం ఆయన లక్ష్యం. అందుకోసం అందుకోసం ఎంతటి శ్రమకైనా తట్టుకోగలిగే గుండె నిబ్బరం ఆయనకుంది. సమాజం, సాహిత్యం, సంస్కృతుల త్రివేణి మండలి బుద్ధప్రసాద్‌. తెలుగు వాస్తవికతకు నిలువెత్తు నిదర్శనం. దార్శనికుడయిన తండ్రి మండలి వెంకట కృష్ణారావు, సంస్కృతి ప్రతిబింబమైన తల్లి ప్రభావతీ దేవి కలల పంటగా 1956 మే నెల 26వ తేదీన బుద్ధప్రసాద్‌ జన్మించారు, తెలుగు దనం- తెలుగుధనం నిండిన కుటుంబం, గాంధేయ వాదం, గాంధీ నాదం ప్రతిధ్వనించే ఇల్లు... పుట్టిన నాటినుంచీ పెరిగిన, ఎదిగిన జాతీయతా భావం, అన్నీ కలగలసి మూర్తీభవించిన రూపసి బుద్ధప్రసాద్‌. డా. బెజవాడ గోపాలరెడ్డి, ఆచార్య ఎన్‌.జి.రంగా, ప్రభాకర్‌ జీ లాంటి సత్ఫురుషుల సాంగత్యం చిన్ననాటినుంచే కలిగాయి. మండలి వెంకట కృష్ణారావు గారి సేవా నిరతిని అందుకుంటూ, ఆ ఆలోచనల్లోంచి, ఆచరణల్లోంచి, ఆకాంక్షల్లోంచి అంకురించి, తండ్రిని మరిపించిన మహావృక్షమై ఎదిగాడు బుద్ధప్రసాద్‌.
''యం సంగతి గుణా: పుంసాం వికసంత్యేన తే స్వయం'' అంటుంది ఆర్యోక్తి. యోగ్యమైన గుణాలు ఉంటే వాటంతట అవే బయటపడి లోకోపకారకం అవుతాయి. కస్తూరి సువాసనని ఆపితే ఆగుతుందా... అని అడుగుతుందా శ్లోకం. యోగ్యతలు లోకహితం కావాలి. మండలి బుద్ధప్రసాద్‌ యోగ్యమైన ఆలోచనలన్నీ తెలుగు భాషా సంస్కృతుల పరిరక్షణ దిశగా సాగాయి. బుద్ధప్రసాద్‌ తెలుగు భాషోద్యమ నిర్మాణం కోసం మొదటగా నడుం బిగించిన యోథుడు. ఆయనే ప్రేరకుడు, ఆయనే పాత్రధారి, ఆయనకు ముందు ఎన్నో తరాలుగా భాషా పరిరక్షకులు వెలిగించిన జ్యోతిని ఆయన అందుకున్నారు. ఒక జ్యోతితో అనేక జ్యోతులను వెలిగించినట్టు ఆయన భాషోద్యమ కార్యకర్తలను తీర్చిదిద్దుతున్నారు.

Language was a culture that kept people united, and ignorance of the language culture was dividing people, the Avanigadda MLA and president of the Telugu Bhashodyama Samakhya, Mandali Buddha Prasad, said on Saturday.
Releasing a compact disc (CD) on `Pedda Balasiksha' here on Saturday, Mr. Prasad lamented that Telugus were not united, despite being pioneers in the agitation for the formation of States on linguistic basis. He lauded the service rendered in bringing out a book, which was published 172 years ago, in the form of a CD. Underscoring the need to protect and promote the mother tongue, he said non-resident Telugus would patronize the CD more than those living in the State.
`Pedda Balasiksha' is a compendium of several "facts of life." The then Governor of the Madras State compiled it in 1822. The `Balasiksha,' authored by Puduru Sitarama Sastry, was first published in 1832. It was prepared with perfect planning and a definite idea of the grasping ability of children. South Africa is a country well known to many of us. Many Indians settled there some 150 years ago. Most of them went as indentured labourers. South Africa has many beautiful and large cities and towns with modern infrastructure. Durban is one of those cities where many the Indian community has settled in large number. The 150th year of the arrival of Indian Indentured labourers was recently celebrated there. The President of South Africa, Jacob Zuma graciously noted in his State of the Nation Address in Parliament that celebration ‘provides an opportunity to recognise the important contribution of the Indian Community in the fields of labour, business, science, sports, religion, arts, culture and the achievement and consolidation of our democracy.’

Launched on October 1,2010 the Telugu language feed is available every day from 6 in the evening till midnight. “Our viewership has jumped to around 90 percent in just about two weeks time since our introduction of the Telugu feed,” said Rajiv Bakshi, vice president, marketing, Discovery Networks Asia Pacific, adding, “The 24-hour Telugu feed could come into place in January next year.” All programmes and their airing schedules remain the same as the English, Hindi and Tamil feeds. “What really differentiates us from others is our programming content which nobody has been able to replicate,” said Bakshi, who showed a few clippings of some of the channel’s new programmes like ‘Worst case scenario’ and ‘Speed of life.’
“This year we also launched Discovery Turbo, Discovery Science and Discovery HD World. So we have six unique portfolios,” said Bakshi adding that the network is a leader in non-fiction entertainment. Discovery Channel which reaches over 53 million subscribers launched its Hindi and Tamil feed in 1998 and 2010 respectively.

Urgent need to preserve Telugu language and culture for posterity, he says
The three-day 8th biennial conference of World Telugu Federation (WTF) began on a grand and colourful note at V.R. Siddhartha College of Engineering here on Friday.
The conference gave a clarion call to protect Telugu tradition and culture, Telugu language and its aesthetic and spiritual richness.
Inaugurating the conference, Finance Minister K. Rosaiah said: “Let us stop admiration of foreign lifestyle. And, say no to Mummy-Daddy culture.”
Vicious circle
It was unfortunate to note that parents often reproach children for addressing them as amma (mother) and nanna (father). Now, people in cities were accustomed to fast life. And, they don’t even know our customs, traditions and festivals like Sankranti, he said, adding: “We need to come out of this vicious circle and preserve the language and culture for posterity.”
The State government constituted a committee to study the problems of Telugus settled in other states.
The committee had already toured some states. Necessary steps would be taken to sort out the issues, he said, adding that the government, at regular intervals, would initiate dialogue with other states to address the problems of Telugus.
Promotion of arts
Earlier, WTF founder P. Jenguswami Naidu pointed out that Telugus who settled in Tamil Nadu were facing hardship like lack of Telugu medium schools.
He urged the State government to intervene and prevail upon the Tamil Nadu Government to fulfil the constitutional obligation that schools should be opened for linguistic minorities.
Culture, Information and Public Relations Minister A. Ramnarayana Reddy said that the government was taking all possible steps like conducting ‘Palnati Utsavam’, ‘Godavari Utsavalu’ to preserve and propagate the Telugu language and culture.
The government, to promote arts, was constructing mini Ravindra Bharati in every district.
While six were already in place, four more would be constructed during this year.
The government was providing Rs. 500 per month as pension to about 10,000 veteran artistes in the State, he added.
WTF president V.L. Indira Dutt said that the federation was ready to start Telugu Samskritika Niketan, a place for Telugu history, culture and tradition, atop Kailasagiri in Visakhapatnam.
